درباره این کتاب:
As suggested by the title, this is a book about food crime. Stated simply, food crime is any deviant and/or criminal acts committed by actors in the conventional food system—from growers to producers to distributors, and so on. As will be shown in this book, much food crime is not illegal at all but instead is deviant or immoral in the sense that it is wrong, and it causes harm to humans, animals, or both. As one example, much of the food produced and sold in the United States (and even around the world) is ultra-processed, has no nutritional value whatsoever, and is actually very dangerous to our health and well-being. Another example is the enormous harms produced by the system itself, such as environmental damage and contribution to climate change.
