درباره این کتاب:

Australia continues to celebrate a notion of British discovery and peaceful settlement, under the illegitimate and illegal premise of a continent belonging to no one. Although this ideology is false and has been nationally and internationally acknowledged through its very own a judicial system, it continues to remain a strongly held belief in hearts and minds of Australians. This is because this way of knowing has been taught to every Australian, through a form of social and political indoctrination which has purposely failed to acknowledge the First Peoples’ civilisation along with their vast scientific and sustainable technology. Instead we were all fed through socialisation that Australia was settled through peaceful occupation, a myth that continues to be taught in our primary and secondary schools. Our tertiary institutions have also failed to ensure that Indigenous perspectives are included in all areas of learning. Australia continues to focus on a story that is and was never its truth. This has been even more difficult for those who are Australia’s First peoples, whose very being, their great wisdoms, laws and lores and knowledges, have not been recognised and taken into account and celebrated. Although Australia’s Aboriginal people’s technologies, paintings and tools predate all other wonders of the world including the Egyptian pyramids, they were not noted or admired.
