This volume is the outgrowth of a conference on comparative administrative law organized by the editors and held at Yale Law School in May 2009 with the generous support of the Oscar M. Ruebhausen Fund. We are extremely grateful for the support of the Yale Law School and the Ruebhausen Fund for supporting both the conference and the publication of this volume. It would have been impossible for us to publish a collective volume of this magnitude and ambition without the extensive assistance of others.
